Military Fighter Pilot career

I hope it is no surprise to everyone that I also wished to be a military fighter pilot, having grown up in the 1980s I was very motivated by the "Top-Gun" movie and I already had the fast motorcycles and technical know-how to fix them and ride them properly (self-sponsored),

at 19 I was held back from this dream by:

(1) missing a US National "birth",

(2) lacking high school science background,

(3) having relatives living in former Soviet satellite states (abandoned to Soviets in WWII)...

My long term plans at first did not include "pilot" career it was a modest USAF Law Enforcement enlistment to prepare for CHP, after finishing four year service I went and got a B.S. degree instead of CHP and upon returning to USAF recruiters in Chico I was told "political" sponsorship also needed for an officer candidate... (like congressman or something)

By then I was 28-29y old and USAF recruiters were not very excited to see me (between Iraq Wars I-II) and not very likely as "fighter pilot" maybe "cargo pilot" if flying status at all if accepted and graduated from USAF Officer Training School (OTS)... so that was that then...

Photos are from "Speed and Angels" movie... Also from film:

1st F-14 woman fighter pilot (Kara Hultgreen) dies while atempting to land on carier during daylight peace time operations...

2nd F-14 woman fighter pilot (Megan-"slick") holds record for saying "I am so sorry" 6 times in 3-4 seconds (in the movie) after hard landing on carier during night time bad weather operations and reamins in "rut" (spooked) for months...
